The
Rupert Renaissance Initiative
is a grass roots effort started in
1998 to revitalize the City of
Rupert.
The
initiative was born from the
efforts of Project Mutual Telephone
Manager Charles H. Creason, Jr., in
his shared desire to motivate
community citizens to "revive"
the energy of a thriving and enlightened
community and rekindle the
pride and self-determination that
is the strength and virtue of rural
America.

The
projects were initially vast. The
focus has since narrowed. Considerable
effort and resource has since been
dedicated to development of historical
awareness, city beautification, indigenous
entities, and the unique nature of
the City, as a federal town
site created from America's first
Reclamation Project.
Rupert
Renaissance has raised significant
revenues and been the spawning
ground of other satellite organizations
which have accomplished much in terms
of polishing local assets
As
a branch of city government, organized
under Rupert City Code, the Rupert
Renaissance receives money which is
subject to charitable contribution,
initiates projects in conjunction
with the City of Rupert, and nurtures
organizations which sponsor events
to accentuate the attributes of
the City, its historical significance,
and its unique and defining charm.
