SUMMER TIPS TO KEEP YOU SAFEAt dusk and dawn mosquitoes are very active around low wet areas and will seek their food source (blood) from any individual who may enter their territory. A high pressure wash against the outside of your house will be effective in washing away, wasp nests, spiders, dirt and debris. Watch out for tiny holes in the siding for it may be a home to a swarm of wasps. Please, don't let children play next to the siding as insects seek refuge in these areas and will bite if threatened. Now that the summer heat is approaching, it is always helpful to use lots of sunscreen, wear hats- as protection, drink plenty of water- especially small children and elderly, and rest in shaded areas to keep cool from the sun.
Rupert Police Department Participates in Holiday MobilizationsMuch of the tragedy that comes from impaired driving crashes could be prevented if everyone would take these few simple precautions: Whenever you plan on consuming alcohol, designate a sober driver before going out and give that person your keys; If you are impaired, call a taxi or a sober friend or family member to get you home safely; Promptly report drunk drivers you see on the roads to law enforcement; and Remember – Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Drunk. If you know someone who is about to drive while impaired, take their keys and help them make other arrangements to get where they are going safely. Have a happy and safe summer – PLEASE DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
