PerforMix Nutrition Services to build new manufacturing facility in Rupert!

Rupert will be home to another nationally recognized company — PerforMix Nutrition Services! PerforMix, a subsidiary of Agri Beef Co., will build a new liquid feed manufacturing facility west of Rupert.  The addition of PerforMix to our community confirms Southern Idaho’s place as one of the nation’s most productive dairy and beef regions.

Frulact selects Rupert for its First Fruit Processing facility in North America!

Rupert is pleased to welcome Frulact to Southern Idaho!  The Frulact facility is historic.  Not only does it mark the company’s entry into the U.S. market, but the company’s announcement represents Idaho’s first foreign direct investment project!

WillTran, Inc Moves its Business to Rupert!

WillTran, Inc., a bulk liquids and ag commodities transportation company, will build a new headquarters and truck maintenance facility in Rupert.  The new facility is twice as large as the company’s previous headquarters in Boise, Idaho.  As part of the relocation and expansion effort, WillTran will hire new employees in Rupert!

Rupert Recognized with a “2014 CiCi Award” by National Economic Development Trade Publication

The City of Rupert has been recognized by “Trade & Industry Development” Magazine with a Corporate Investment & Community Impact  Award (“CiCi” Award) forits recruiting efforts and partnership with the Frulact corporation.  Featured in the publication’s March/April 2014 Edition, Rupert is recognized for working with the Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization (“SIEDO”) and the Portugal-based company to bring this new business to our community!



 Rupert, Idaho businesses form part of the United States’ No. 1 Food Manufacturing Region

The United States’ most concentrated cluster of food manufacturing firms and jobs is located in Southern Idaho! Research conducted by the Idaho Department of Labor, in conjunction with Region IV Development Association, Inc., recently discovered that the South-Central Idaho area comprised of Cassia, Jerome, Minidoka, and Twin Falls Counties have a higher concentration of food manufacturing jobs and food processing firms than any other place in the United States.

Based on 2012 information from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, these four counties dominate this targeted economic sector with more specialization in food processing in the local economy than any other state or region in the United States.

Minidoka County, Idaho is home to a number of the food manufacturing firms that contribute to this high concentration of business success :  Snake River Sugar Company, Gossner Foods, Idahoan Foods, Brewster Cheese, and  Gem State Processing.








Hospital Office

Minidoka Memorial Hospital to Expand with New Office Plaza

Minidoka Memorial Hospital, located in Rupert, Idaho has begun construction of a new 15,000 square-foot medical office building.  The nearly $3.9 Million facility should be completed in Spring 2015 and will house the Rurual Health clinic, a number of physician offices, and provide space for future growth.  The hospital is an important community partner in the City of Rupert and contributes greatly to our residents’ quality of life.





City of Rupert named one of the safest places to live and do business!

Movoto, an online real estate firm based in California recently concluded a study of the safety of Idaho Cities and found that The City of Rupert’s low crime rates make it one of the safest places to live in Idaho.







The City of Rupert Congratulates McCain Foods and Neighbor, City of Burley, on Business Expansion!

McCain Foods USA has announced plans to expand its Mini-Cassia manufacturing plant with the addition of a third production line.  McCain is investing more than $100 million to expand the capacity at the local plant.  This is great news for our area!

Calva Products Opens New Facility in the City of Rupert

Calva Products, Incorporated has expanded its California-based operation to Rupert, Idaho!  The company now manufactures infant animal milk replacement products partnering with another important Rupert Industry — Brewster Cheese.

Double L Manufacturing recently completed construction of its new manufacturing facility in Minidoka County.  The company is a leader in the production of potato and material handling equipment that is sold in the U.S. marketplace and internationally.  The City of Rupert welcomes this new facility into our area!
