Electric Department

The City of Rupert Electric Dept. sells approximately 80,000,000 kWh each year. The City of Rupert purchases it’s power from Bonneville Power Administration. In addition to about 35 miles of distribution power lines, the City owns a portion of two substations.

We are now able to offer you an added benefit of the new meters that have been installed in the city. You may submit a request by email to electric graph to receive a daily/hourly usage on your home or business with a digital meter. Please include your City of Rupert account number located on your bill.

We are open from 6am to 6pm Monday thru Friday. If you need assistance after our normal hours please call Minidoka County Dispatch at 434-2320 and ask for an electric department employee to call you back. The staff of eight, including five Certified Journeyman Lineman, is available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year to respond to your electric service needs.
